WearWise
Wardrobe
Own product
01 / The Brief & The Problem
Photograph your clothes once, then get outfit builds grounded in weather, occasion and your own style profile.
Wardrobe apps tend to fail in one of two ways. Either they ask for hours of manual tagging before they are useful, or they generate outfits from a catalogue of things you do not own. WearWise had to work from real garments, real weather and real occasions, and it had to be quick enough to consult while getting dressed.
It also had to serve two people. The wardrobe is shared with a partner who advises on clothing, so the product needed a second login, saved looks and a way to browse by shelf rather than by database table.
02 / Strategic Approach
The app is a Next.js application on Supabase for authentication, storage and Postgres. Each photographed garment becomes a structured record with AI-assisted attributes, so the outfit engine reasons over pieces the user actually owns rather than generic categories.
Outfit builds combine three inputs: the wardrobe, the day's weather for the user's location, and the occasion. A style profile records what the user keeps and rejects, and is used to personalise later suggestions. Seasons, saved looks and shelf browsing were added for the two-person release in August 2026, and the outfit endpoint was verified end to end before that release shipped.
Hosting is deliberately simple: Vercel for the app and a scheduled keep-alive for the database so the free tier never goes cold under real daily use.
03 / The Output
04 / The Impact & What It Proves
The app is live and used every day by the two people it was built for.
WearWise Wardrobe is deployed at wearwise-by-algothrim.vercel.app. It holds a private wardrobe, so the deployment is access-controlled and a visitor reaches an unlock screen rather than the app itself. The daily-use figure is first-party, while the data model and shared-wardrobe behaviour cannot be independently inspected from the public deployment because access is PIN-gated.
The same stack was reused for WearWise Go, a travel packing companion, which is why the second product shipped quickly. Together they demonstrate the full loop this portfolio claims: product definition, interface design, data modelling, AI integration and deployment by one person.
